2011/2012 Season

2012 marks the 80th year of the Bach Society of Minnesota (BSM). By popular demand, the season begins with a repeat of the program Musical Victor which pairs Bach’s Musical Offering with excerpts from the book Evening in the Palace of Reason.

In January we’re branching out to another world; the jazz world. Join the BSM, jazz guitarist Chris Olson, and his friends for an evening of serious fun.

In March the Bach Society of Minnesota, in collaboration with United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities, brings to life Bach’s Passion According to St. John, one of history’s greatest masterpieces. Included will be panel discussions, presentations, and a dinner during the week leading up to the per-formance. The concert will take place in St. Mary’s Chapel on the campus of the St. Paul Seminary, one of the most beautiful and sacred spaces in Minnesota.

Then we end our season with two cantatas for soprano and orchestra along with works for oboe with our guests Glorious Revolution Baroque and baroque oboist, Debra Nagy.

Don’t miss out! Mark your calendar to come hear the music as well as enjoy the stories that will lift your spirits. Click on "Tickets" above and reserve yours now. See you there.
