The upcoming season will be my third year as Artistic Director of the Bach Society of Minnesota. I can’t tell you how much I enjoy working with the singers and musicians from the Twin Cities and how much I enjoy performing concerts for you, our beloved audience.

I am happy to tell that there is more to come!

After having performed all three oratorios by J.S. Bach in one calendar year, we will now get started with the cycle of his Passions. In March 2019, the Bach Society will collaborate with Choral Arts Ensemble from Rochester in joint performances of J.S. Bach’s St. John’s Passion.

Needless to say that the renewed collaboration with Lyra will create musical sparks at performances of 4 cantatas of Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, including those which have not been heard last year!

And just like last year, the musicians of the Bach Society are yet again up for an adventure: This time we leave the vicinity of our occidental culture and join forces with the famous Chinese pipa player Gao Hong.  Expect the unexpected with repertoire from the 17th, 18th and…21st century!

I look forward to talking to you at our concerts.

Music is something we all share. The music in our concerts will develop even more colors when many people join in for the musical celebrations which we created while having you in our mind. You, our beloved audience!
