and Early African American Music, the Spiritual
Opera singer Angel Refuse, along with pianist Jordan Buchholtz and Marco Real-d’Arbelles on violin, explore and uncover music that has crossed the Atlantic in both directions for hundreds of years. Discover the richness of classical music because of the contributions of African American composers to the artform and enjoy the wonderful acoustics of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Saint Paul. Music by JS Bach, Margaret Bonds, Coleridge-Taylor, Handel, and others.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
