Upcoming Workshop in Twin Cities
Sorrow to Joy
After two successful workshops in October 2018 and March 2019, BSM will hold a workshop led by BSM Associate Artistic Director Marco Real-d’Arbelles and soprano Jenny French on September 21st, 2019 from 10 am to 6 pm at Macalester Plymouth United Church in St. Paul.
Participants will rehearse alongside BSM professional artists and early music experts who will provide tips and tricks to sound more “baroque”. The day will culminate in a short concert of the workshop pieces alongside performances by BSM for friends and family!

*Moira Hill: Bach scholar, Dr. Moira Hill is a Harvard, UMN, and Yale graduate. We are very thrilled to have her with us again for this upcoming workshop. She will share stories of Bach’s life, give participants a deeper understanding of the background and context, and to provide a more complete picture of the mythical musical genius.
BSM workshops are aimed at the many amateur musicians in our communities. It is a great opportunity to learn and perform on the stage alongside professionals. But above all, it is FUN! As one participant said:
